David Galloway is the Director of Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans. As Director, David collaborates with federal and state agencies on veteran issues and initiatives and develops outreach plans to increase program awareness among Maryland’s Veterans.

David Galloway served in the United States Marine Corps from 2003-2007 as an Infantry Machine Gun Squad Leader. During his enlistment he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom two times. After leaving the Corps David enrolled at the University of Maryland College Park, where he later attained his Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He then went to work for the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program as a peer specialist, where he facilitated peer support groups in the community and on college campuses. David has worked for Maryland's Commitment to Veterans as the Central Region Resource Coordinator over the past 4 years before becoming Director of the program. His duties include connecting fellow Veterans, family members, and community providers to appropriate resources both inside the federal VA system and in the community.
